Split cane bent over a form and lashed by hand, so the ribs are visibly uneven. That is the point. Hand-weaving in Sylhet, Bangladesh, by the Surma Cane Workshop. Because it is made by hand from a plant rather than moulded from a compound, small differences in colour, weave and dimension are normal and are not faults. Compostable. Untreated, unlacquered.
