Open weave so air moves around the fruit and it lasts longer. A low footed rim keeps it off a damp counter. Hand-weaving in Sylhet, Bangladesh, by the Surma Cane Workshop. Because it is made by hand from a plant rather than moulded from a compound, small differences in colour, weave and dimension are normal and are not faults. Compostable. Untreated, unlacquered.
