Thrown in one piece and burnished with a river stone before firing, which gives the low sheen. Waterproof for cut stems. Wheel-throwing & kiln-firing in Rajshahi, Bangladesh, by the Bagha Clay Studio. Because it is made by hand from a plant rather than moulded from a compound, small differences in colour, weave and dimension are normal and are not faults. Inert earthenware; break and return to soil, or reuse as drainage crock.
